Toronto is a culturally diverse city, and has neighbourhoods that offer cuisine from around the world. It has seven full-scale production theatres and a host of smaller theatres that operate throughout the year. The city is famous for its International Film Festival held in September. The Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario are among the finest in the world.

Set on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, Toronto provides two very popular entertainment sites: Harbourfront and Distillery District. Harbourfront is a large mall with unique shops and restaurants. The Distillery District is a refurbished heritage site with many boutiques, restaurants and free concerts in the summer.

Toronto is a major cultural centre. The city also offers a full range of sports activities for every season. It is easy to get away to the Canadian outdoors. A one hour drive north of the city takes you to "cottage country," a natural wilderness of forests and lakes; one hour to the south is Niagara Falls.

" I met a lot of nice people in Canada, friends, host family, teachers ... I have a lot of friends from all over the world and will keep as friends forever.

My host family and teachers are friendly and kind. I also learned about different cultures through them, cheer and smiles. "
